Dubai Chamber Releases Dubai Startup Guide Ahead of Expand North Star 2024

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, part of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has released the Dubai Startup Guide. This guide is a helpful resource for entrepreneurs and startups looking to start their businesses in Dubai.

The guide gives an overview of Dubai’s startup ecosystem and provides detailed advice on how to set up companies, including legal steps, business setup choices, and funding options. It also lists important organizations that support startups and gives information about Dubai’s accelerators, business incubators, sandboxes, and free zones.

This guide was launched just before the Expand North Star 2024 event, the largest global gathering of startups and investors. The event, hosted by Dubai World Trade Centre and the chamber, will take place at Dubai Harbour and runs until October 16.

The guide also has specific advice for starting businesses in ten areas of Dubai’s digital economy. These include specialized free zones, accelerators, incubators, and sandboxes, plus events and rules for each sector.

Some of the key sectors mentioned are artificial intelligence, 3D printing, cybersecurity, digital assets, fintech, edtech, gaming, healthtech, software/SaaS, and the metaverse/Web3. This shows the wide range of opportunities available in Dubai’s digital economy.

The guide aims to assist both local and international startups by providing valuable information about Dubai’s business environment. It also offers practical tips, access to online resources, and personalized support, helping entrepreneurs make smart decisions and grow their businesses in Dubai.

Expand North Star brings together top founders, investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate innovators to explore new growth opportunities in Dubai and drive the future of the digital economy.

This year, around 1,200 invite-only investors are expected, with senior partners from these funds meeting with around 1,800 startups from over 100 countries. This record number highlights the event’s growing importance in the global digital economy.
