Cambodia Visa for Indians

Getting a Cambodia visa for Indians is easy. When you arrive in Cambodia, you can get your visa in just a few simple steps. There are two types of visas you can apply for: an eVisa online or a Cambodia Visa On Arrival.

Types of Visas

For short-term business trips or tourism, you can apply for a Cambodia Visa On Arrival. This visa is issued at the border. You can get this visa at international airports and some land borders in Cambodia. Indian nationals can also apply for a business eVisa on the government portal.

On Arrival Cambodia Visa for Indians

You can get a “visa on arrival” at the following International Airports in Cambodia:

  • Phnom Penh International Airport
  • Siem Reap International Airport
  • Sihanoukville International Airport

Required Documents for Visa On Arrival

  1. Original Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months from the date you arrive in Cambodia.
  2. Photo: One recent photo, 4 × 6 cm, with a white background.
  3. Application Form: Fill out the Cambodia visa on arrival form, available at the airport, on the flight, or at the border.
  4. Hotel Booking: A copy of your hotel reservation.
  5. Proof of Funds: Show you have enough money for your stay, about Rs.42,000 minimum. This can be cash or a credit card statement.
  6. Return Ticket: An itinerary or confirmed return flight tickets.
  7. Visa Fee: Pay the visa fee in US dollars at the counter.

How to Apply for Cambodia Visa On Arrival

  1. Arrive at the Airport: Go to the visa on arrival counter.
  2. Fill Out the Form: Complete the visa application form. If you can’t find it online, get it on the flight, at land borders, or at the airport.
  3. Submit Documents: Give all necessary documents to the immigration officials.
  4. Pay the Fee: The visa fee is $30 (around Rs.2,498). Make sure to bring exact cash as ATMs may not work at the airports.
  5. Get Your Visa: Once your visa is stamped in your passport, you can proceed to your flight gate.

Applying for your visa might take a few hours, and there may be long lines. Getting a visa at the airport is not guaranteed; if you don’t meet all the requirements, entry could be denied.

Fees and Charges

  • Tourist Visa: $30 (around Rs.2,498)
  • Business Visa: $35 (around Rs.2,914)

You must pay the fee in cash when you apply. The cost of a visa may change, so check the latest fee before your trip.

Stay Duration and Validity

  • Stay Duration: Up to 30 days for Indian citizens.
  • Visa Validity: The visa on arrival is valid for 3 months from the issue date, but each stay is only 30 days (single entry).

Extending Cambodia Visa for Indians

If you want to stay longer than 30 days, you can extend your visa at the Immigration Department at Phnom Penh International Airport by paying $25. The extension allows another 30 days.

Note: If you overstay your visa, you’ll be fined $5 for each day you stay beyond the limit, and you might be blacklisted from re-entering Cambodia.

Visa Processing Time

The Cambodian Immigration Department processes visas in 2 to 3 business days. If there are delays, you might need to provide more documents or correct any errors in your application.

Alternative: e-Visa

Another way to enter Cambodia is by getting an e-Visa online, which is simple and convenient. The e-Visa costs an extra $8, but it saves time.

Features of an e-Visa

  • Type: Single-entry tourist visa
  • Stay Duration: Up to 30 days
  • Processing Time: 3 business days
  • Fee: $20 visa fee + $5 processing fee + $3 bank charges
  • Validity: 3 months from the issue date

Required Documents for an e-Visa

  1. Digital Passport Copy: Valid for 6 months from your planned arrival date.
  2. Digital Photo: Less than 1 MB, in PNG, BMP, or JPEG format.
  3. Credit Card: For online payment.

Note: An e-Visa can be extended for 30 days at the National Police Immigration Centre in Cambodia. You’ll need your passport, two 4 × 6 cm photos, the e-Visa certificate, and $25. It takes 2 days to process the extension.
